The Secrets Revealed, If The Little Pig Squealed
This is the story of a little Pot Belly Pig
who wound up getting bigger than his
owners had anticipated.
He wound up on his own, waddling
aimlessly through town, in search of a
place to belong.
The story begins with the pig being
adopted by the narrator  - who speaks
for the pig, as he is being introduced to
other inhabitants of his new home.
When the little pig becomes
overwhelmed by it all and runs off to
hide for a bit, the narrator imagines the
pig to be talking.
At that point, "Arnold" reveals a few
secrets that need to be shared - about
how we all need to give careful
consideration to any new pet we may
plan on bringing into our homes.

Exerpt:

I tried to waddle faster,

Just to find a place to hide;

Which isn’t very easy

When your belly’s really wide.

The pavement wore my hooves down

All the buildings blocked my view -

I wound up in the parking lot

                         Of Big Bob’s Bar-B-Que!

                                                            But someone called the shelter

                                                            For lost animals and strays,

                                                            I got a meal and good night’s sleep -

                                                            The first in several days!

Thank You For Looking!
Here is Arnold, our real
live pot-bellied-orphan
pig, who we rescued
from the Helping Hands
Humane Shelter in
Topeka, KS several
years ago.
Resting atop Arnold,
you see Scaredy Cat -
one of the many strays
that we take in here at
Blue Jay Way Farm.
Scaredy Cat and Arnold
have been close friends
from the time they met -
who knows why they
bonded, but they seem
pretty content!
