Anyone who has ever driven a Morris Minor will know
that they do not have much braking power (that is the
polite way of saying it!). Below, at the Heartland Race
Track in Topeka, KS., we got to go for a spin on the track
during the British Car Show - I was petrified to be placed
behind a Lotus - hoping I did not have to stop suddenly!
So, I passed it once we were on the track!
I only had the power to do that, thanks to my cousin,
Gary Rise, who has kept my Morris Minors in tip-top
mechanical condition for me!

when tragedy struck Blue Jay Way in
the form of a lightening bolt through
the window - which ignited the wiring
in the house and burned the garage
